-Make it evident. Typeface choices need to have sharp differences in order for a document to be readable. It there is not enough contrast, visual hierarchy fails, and the roles attributed to various fonts won't be clear and obvious.

-Go for a neutral contrast and they create a harmonious typographic paring playing different roles without a font overpowers the other.

-Using distinct font from the same typeface may be perfectly suitable for creating a combination that will work very well.

-Well designed text is easier to read because it takes a few important consideration into account: size and color, line width, line height and alignment.
